How to use
Add equipment, record its current reading and service interval, then log completed maintenance as it happens.
What to check
Due status is based on your entries and device date. This local organizer does not send reminders or replace manufacturer schedules.
How the maintenance log decides what is due
Give each asset a clear name and reference, enter its current meter reading, and record its next service date, next service meter reading, or both. The meter field is the absolute reading at which service is due: a next-service value of 250 means service at 250 hours, not 250 hours from now.
Either threshold can flag a record
A past date or a reached meter threshold produces Overdue. Otherwise, a date within 30 days or a threshold within 25 hours produces Due soon. Later thresholds are On track; a record with neither threshold is Unscheduled. These are fixed display rules, not a manufacturer’s maintenance schedule.
Worked record: status assessed on 25 October 2026
At 240 meter hours, with service entered for 250 hours and 31 December 2026, there are 10 hours and 67 days remaining. The status is Due soon because of the meter threshold. This is a dated walkthrough, not a live equipment record.
| Entered condition | Displayed status |
|---|---|
| 40 hours and 67 days remaining | On track |
| 10 hours and 67 days remaining | Due soon |
| Meter reaches 250 of 250 hours | Overdue |
| Service date is today; meter is not due | Due soon |
| Service date was yesterday | Overdue |
What happens when I record completed service?
Open Service log, record the date, meter reading, work and technician, then enter the next thresholds. The new meter reading cannot be lower than the current reading. Blank next-service fields clear the previous schedule; the tool does not calculate a recurring interval for you.
Does removing a service entry undo its meter reading?
No. Removing history leaves the asset’s current reading and next-service schedule unchanged. Review those fields separately if the record needs correction.
Will I receive reminders or have a shared team log?
No background reminders or shared account are provided. Date status uses your device’s local date. Records stay in this browser; export the register and service history when you need another copy.
